Circular Vuitton

I wasn't the Biggest fan of Marc Jacobs' Louis Vuitton collection, but there were some elements I TRULY fell for. If it wasn't for the CaROuseL, I think I may have not felt the need to broWse the details of the asSortment, but the stunning pointy heel pumps were BeYond. Not to mention the Snakeskin Leather, which I hear LVMH actually purchased a tannery. A little much, but nonetheless quite the investment.

Jacobs' knows how to put on a show and it's NEVER over the top, unlike Karl Lagerfeld's underwater mermaid terrain.
Doesn't Karl know merpeople are forbidden to interact with humans?

"Ask Someone Else"

When Anna Wintour was summoned about Kanye West's debut collection she replied, "Ask someone else." In other words, she politely meant (well I think) " it sucked."

Even the skinniest model can't wear these hideous, unflattering pants
I don't understand, it looks like a stiletto got revamped with a chunk of obnoxious embellishments.
Take your bows on stage, not the runway

Besides being adverse to the idea of celebrity designers (besides Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, they're pure genius) I think it's ridiculous that a celebrity can easily show at Lincoln Center or I guess now in Paris.

It frustrates me that he was evaluated on Style.com.  When Honor, a beautiful up and coming line wasn't even assessed.
According to reviews, the clothes fit pOOrly and were compared to a "Baby Balmain." Kanye doesn't have a vision, he's a sham, taking bits and pieces from the established.

Kanye-You can make another collection and embarass yourself once again, or learn the trade and maybe I'll have your back...remember that's a maybe.
You asked for your chance to grow, you get one.

Kanye as a designer-LUDICROUS.
Kayne as a music artist-I'LL ACCEPT.

And, Scene.

Please add Miu Miu to The Aristocrats, because as always Miuccia Prada made me SMILE with her cuLminaTion to fashion wEEk. The intaglio booties, fresh prints and wrapped layers was what I hoped for.
It was a Parisian FOLK-Lore
A legend I will soon write.

Sorry Kanye, None for You.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I LOVE the color white. Crisp, laconic white, I think it maybe my favorite hue.  So of course, I couldn’t resist Phobe Philo’s FORTIFYING Celine collection that came with eXhilarating simplicity, MaSter craftsmanship and a minimal color paLeTTe that included my front-runner shade.

Kanye may have rocked his women’s Celine top last season, but this is one accumulation that should not be offered to the new designer

Which by the way irks me in all the wrong ways, but we’ll get to that later.

Parisian Pristine

Véronique Leroy

Sonia Rykiel

Véronique Leroy and Sonia Rykiel are two designers that know how to keep it fresh.  The energetic girl inside my stubborn, blunt persona is SCREAMING for these designer’s nonchalant pieces.
A little white and burlappy beige from Véronique Leroy
And some sunny florals from Sonia Rykiel
While Paris has it’s flair for style, Leroy and Rykiel take a step back to relish the fun in fashion.

What Women Want-Mel Gibson Not Included

Alber Elbaz has ALWAYS been on my raDar, how could he not, being the mastermind behind Lanvin? But his creatiViTy in the Lanvin “music video” starring Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmerman made me adore him that much more. This season, as ALWAYS, ElbaZ brought back his classic draped dresses, while easing in statement jewels that by NO means took away from the collection.

He knows What Women Want.
And I just happen to be ONE of those.

"Rockabilly Lord Byron"

Besides Haider Ackerman's Spring 2012 collection being simply stunning, the NEW photowall on Style.com really brought the show to LIFE.  If you haven't checked out this NEW ADDITION, you need to.  The live images make it more realistic, like HD. Yes, it's Computer HD.

I really need to get to Paris, great things are happening that I need to witness not through a photo wall.

Isabel Marant X Camp Sabra

I've come to the conclusion that my obSeSsion with Isabel Marant is because of the Parisian comfort that brings me back to my days at Camp Sabra.
Exhibit A:
Tie Dye

It maybe a bit LuX for the camp scene, but quite useful for Shabbat.
Exhibit B:
Smudged Finger Paint

Every year In the Art Shed I used to paint the ceiling (Just like Michaelangelo) with my name, while adding the amount of years I've attended.
Exhibit C:
Bathing Suit Cover Up
Because even my bathing suit decor needs an element of chic.
Exhibit D:
Days Off
Because it doesn't matter if I'm at TJ's with the locals or eating dinner at Outback Steakhouse I ALWAYS need to look Better than those surrounding me.

Thank you Isabel Marant for bringing my TWO FAVORITE things 2gether.
