Monotonous No More

But Pre-fall 2012 has taken me for a Loop

and a very possible hole in my pocket.

Olivier Rousteing is kiLLin' it and it's only his 2nd season as creative director.

Apparently, he looked to czarist Russia and Fabergé eggs.

The Russian element I can clearly identify.

Fabergé eggs, meh.

I don't even get the point of Fabergé eggs. 

I'd rather purchase 20 pairs of shoes.

And I'm talkin' expensive shoes

because one egg = a plethora of shoes.

We used to pretend we were detectives and ask random people questions at the JCC (Jew Community Center) with our "Home Alone" Talkboy.

It's the Connecticut jockey vibe of claSsic Ralph Lauren united with luscious leather, juxtaposed with a Celine simplicity, whimsical motifs and stripper boots a stripper could never afford.

Wasn't a HUGE fan of Alexander Wang's spring "sportswear" line...

but his pre-fall is lookin' pretty exceptional.  

So exceptional, that I could use some of these staples in my wardrobe A-SAP. 

Now, I'm sure there are pieces here and there I could purchase from the spring collection, but let's get this straight Wang- We (well I) don't want to purchase $385 tennis shoes, that are probably not even for the act of working out.

Keep it Pre-Fall 2012 for the Fall.
