A Cykic Review "Optimal Utilization of Color"

Phoebe Philo never does anything half-assed. Doubling down to a presentation and soon to give birth, Philo stuck to her sophisticated, streamlined edge and gave it an enchanting pop of color.  Maybe it was the baby blues, but this felt very experimental in terms of pigment, and of course worked remarkably. Brightly colored fur tends to have a cheap factor, but when done right, it's stunning and essential for the upcoming season.  Leather elements came in all the right places, a sleeve here, a collar there, a panel here and wrap belt there, it was undeniably well-balanced. I've come to find that outerwear is a definite strength of the brands (well along with everything else), but the coats have a distinct effortless quality. Don't even get me started on those gold metallic slight wedge, minor heel combobulation.

Three days left of Paris, who knows what to come...
But, Celine is my #1 for this season.
No Question.

Global Warming is in Fact Real

In honor of weather.com forecasting 62 degrees tomorrow...
I give you glowing & sweaty Candice Swanepoel.
I hope she didn't drip on Stella, Alexander and Phoebe.

The Only Way Winter is Allowed to Stay

I'm so over this frigid cold.
But....
If I was gifted Celine pre-fall 2012, I would be willing to shell it out.
Although, I'm going to need it shipped overnight.

Want It, Gotta Have It, Period

Givenchy.
Pre Fall 12'
Dying.
Literally on the floor.
Tweed.
Leather.
Patterns.
Heel covering sheaths.
It's the Connecticut jockey vibe of claSsic Ralph Lauren united with luscious leather, juxtaposed with a Celine simplicity, whimsical motifs and stripper boots a stripper could never afford.
Mine! Mine! Mine!

Sorry Kanye, None for You.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I LOVE the color white. Crisp, laconic white, I think it maybe my favorite hue.  So of course, I couldn’t resist Phobe Philo’s FORTIFYING Celine collection that came with eXhilarating simplicity, MaSter craftsmanship and a minimal color paLeTTe that included my front-runner shade.

Kanye may have rocked his women’s Celine top last season, but this is one accumulation that should not be offered to the new designer

Which by the way irks me in all the wrong ways, but we’ll get to that later.
